CO-LEAD PASTORS

Rev. Drs. John & Loletuth Kalz are the appointed co-pastors of First United Methodist Church. Ordained elders in the Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church, they bring a passion for people, the church, and God’s Mission in the world. John & Loletuth have three children: Emily, Lucas, and Eliza.   
 
Pastor Loletuth grew up across Western Kentucky as a pastor’s child.  She is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College (BA) , Duke Divinity School (MDiv.), and Wesley Theological Seminary (DMin.). Prior to coming to Madisonville, she served as associate pastor at Christ Church United Methodist in Louisville; the pastor at Trinity UMC in Covington, KY; and as a mission intern with the UMC in Macedonia, Europe.  
 
Pastor John grew up on a farm outside Somerset, Kentucky.  He is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College (BA), Duke Divinity School (MDiv.), and Louisville Seminary (DMin.). Prior to coming to Madisonville, he served as the Senior Pastor at Buechel United Methodist in Louisville, a multi-cultural congregation; as the pastor at Wesley UMC in Ludlow, KY; Assistant Chaplain at Lindsey Wilson College; and as the Conference Coordinator for United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.
